Free tools for SEO, AEO and GEO

Free tools that answer the questions every AI-search project starts with: can the assistants read your site, do they have a map of it, do they have machine-readable facts about who you are, and who do the pages that rank for your search actually name. Three run in your browser and send nothing anywhere; the fourth runs a live search, so what you type there is sent to us and to the services we use to run the search and read the pages.

How they fit together

An assistant can only recommend a brand it can reach, map and describe. The first three tools cover those. The fourth shows who the pages that rank for your customers' search actually name.
Reach — can the crawler open the page?
Search and user-fetch crawlers such as OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot obey robots.txt. One inherited Disallow is enough to take a brand out of every AI answer that would have cited it. The AI crawler checker tells you which rule is deciding, line by line.
Map — does it know which pages matter?
An llms.txt is a short markdown index of the pages you want quoted, without the navigation, cookie banners and scripts a crawler otherwise has to wade through. The llms.txt generator writes a valid one from a name, a summary and your URLs.
Describe — are the facts machine-readable?
Organization and LocalBusiness JSON-LD, with two or more sameAs profiles, is how an engine decides that the brand on your page and the entity in its graph are the same thing. The schema generator builds it and tells you what is still missing.
Compare — who do the pages that rank actually name?
Reach, map and describe get you into the running. The pages that already rank for your customers' search name some companies and not others. The Who gets recommended check runs that search and counts the companies written on the lists that rank. It is the one tool here that sends what you type to us and to the services we use to run the search and read the pages.

The background to all of them is in the GEO library, the by-hand version of the same checks is how to run an AI visibility audit, and the measured version is the free AI-visibility audit.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?

Yes. There is no account and no email gate. The llms.txt generator, the AI crawler checker and the schema generator run as JavaScript inside your own browser, so they cost us nothing to serve and have no usage limit. Who gets recommended runs a live search, which does cost us money, so it has a daily limit per person.

Is anything I type sent to Search Genie?

It depends on the tool. The llms.txt generator, the AI crawler checker and the schema generator compute their output locally in the page: nothing you type is uploaded, logged or stored, and they make no network request while you use them. Who gets recommended is different: it runs a live search, so the phrase, place and language you type are sent to us and to the services we use to run the search and read the pages, and kept for 7 days so the same question is not searched twice. We do not keep the brand name you may add.

What is the difference between these tools and the free audit?

The first three tools each answer one question about one file you already control, and Who gets recommended answers one search. The free brand audit runs live searches in your market, reads your site the way a crawler does, and reports what it measured with the evidence attached. The tools are instant; the audit is emailed to you after you confirm your address.

Do I need to be a developer to use them?

No. The first three take plain text in and give you a file or a block of markup out, with an explanation of what every line does. Uploading the file or pasting the markup into your page is the only step that touches your site, and your developer or CMS can do that in minutes. Who gets recommended takes a short phrase and shows you a list of companies.

Want the same checks run on your whole site?

The free brand audit measures your Google rankings, Google AI Overview citations, structured data, AI crawler access, Arabic coverage and real-user speed — and emails you the evidence.
